Operations Manager Housekeeping
At 11 Howard, casual luxury hospitality meets Danish minimalism and New York realism. Located in the heart of SoHo, 11 Howard is home to Le Coucou, theblond, and Library Bar, offering a dynamic, high performance hospitality environment.
We are seeking an Operations Manager to support the Director of Housekeeping in the daily execution, oversight, and optimization of housekeeping operations. This role is responsible for workforce planning, labor management, quality control, and operational consistency to ensure departmental standards, productivity goals, and guest expectations are met.
The ideal candidate is detail driven, operationally strong, and experienced in managing union environments while maintaining service excellence in a fast paced luxury setting.
Key Responsibilities
Partner with the Director of Housekeeping to execute daily operational plans and departmental objectives
Oversee day to day housekeeping operations to ensure efficiency, productivity, and quality standards
Manage labor deployment, scheduling, and coverage to align with occupancy and business needs
Conduct shift briefings focused on staffing, room status, priorities, and service recovery
Monitor cleanliness standards and conduct inspections to ensure brand and hotel compliance
Address operational challenges and resolve guest service issues in real time
Support payroll accuracy, timekeeping, and adherence to labor agreements
Prepare, review, and submit operational reports, productivity data, and performance metrics
Ensure compliance with hotel policies, safety standards, and union contract requirements
Qualifications and Experience
Minimum of 5 years of experience in operations within a hotel environment
Prior experience in an Operations Manager or similar leadership role preferred
Strong understanding of labor management, scheduling, and productivity controls
Proven experience managing teams in a unionized environment strongly preferred
Advanced organizational, time management, and problem solving skills
Ability to work flexible schedules, including nights, weekends, and holidays
Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel and operational reporting tools
College degree preferred

The Facts
215 Guest Rooms and Suites. Boasts 11-foot ceilings and oversized windows. Accommodations range from the Howard Queen Room (195 square feet) to the Howard Suites (700+ square feet).
All rooms include Scandinavian inspired furniture and finishes, 48" flat screen TVs, lounge corner and working area, KEYPR Technology (tablet to order anything from room service to fresh towels) and in-room safes.
Terrace Suite. 3,000+-square-foot suite that includes a separate king bedroom, master bathroom, guest bathroom, kitchenette, dining area for 8 people and rooftop terrace. Great space for an overnight stay, informal meeting, photoshoot or cocktail reception for up to 50 guests.
Le Coucou. Famed Restaurateur Stephen Starr. Owner of Morimoto, Upland, Buddakan, El Vez and dozens more, Stephen Starr conceptualized Le Coucou at 11 Howard with Chef Daniel Rose to serve classic French dishes that are modern yet have not “gone gimmick.”
