Job Description

The Head Spa Cosmetologist is responsible for delivering elevated head spa and scalp therapy services that promote scalp health, relaxation, and overall well-being. This role blends advanced cosmetology techniques with a luxury spa experience, providing guests with a deeply restorative ritual focused on scalp care, hair wellness, and stress relief.

Responsibilities

Perform head spa and scalp services in accordance with established protocols and brand standards
Conduct thorough guest consultations to assess scalp and hair health and customize treatments accordingly
Utilize professional-grade products, water-based scalp equipment, and massage techniques to enhance relaxation and therapeutic benefits
Educate guests on scalp health, hair care routines, and recommended retail products
Maintain a clean, sanitized, and guest-ready treatment room before and after each service
Ensure proper use, care, and sanitation of all head spa equipment and tools
Uphold spa policies related to guest safety, hygiene, and service excellence
Support a calm, welcoming, and luxurious spa environment
Communicate guest feedback, service notes, and any concerns to spa leadership
Adhere to all state board regulations and licensing requirements

Qualifications

Current license(s) and certificate(s) for Cosmetology as required by the state, county, city/town.
2 years of experience in the cosmetogoly industry
Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills
Knowledge of principles and processes for meeting quality standards for services, and evaluation of customer satisfaction.
Superior attention to detail
Creative mindset and artistic personality
Customer oriented with a proactive and positive attitude
Deep understanding of health and safety rules
