Job Summary:

The Executive Meetings & Business Travel Manager is a proactive sales position responsible for generating new revenue across two key segments for Lansdowne Resort: Executive Meetings/Groups and Business Transient corporate travel.

This position is responsible for identifying, prospecting, soliciting, negotiating, and closing new corporate accounts while developing existing relationships to increase room nights, meeting revenue, and overall resort spend. The Manager will own assigned Executive Meeting business from initial inquiry and contracting through planning and execution, serving as the primary client contact throughout the experience.

On the Business Travel side, the Manager will proactively develop and maintain relationships with local and regional corporations, travel managers, executive assistants, travel agencies, meeting planners, and other key decision-makers to grow negotiated corporate account production, increase repeat business, and capture greater market share.

The ideal candidate is a motivated, relationship-driven sales professional with a strong desire to develop new business and grow their hospitality career across group sales, event planning, corporate account development, and business travel strategy within a full-service resort environment.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities:

?      Proactively prospect, solicit, negotiate, and close new and repeat Executive Meeting, corporate group, Business Transient, and assigned social business to achieve or exceed established revenue goals.

?      Develop and execute sales strategies to increase group room nights, meeting revenue, corporate travel production, and overall account profitability.

?      Build and maintain a portfolio of corporate accounts through outbound prospecting, direct sales calls, account visits, referrals, networking, internet research, industry events, and community involvement.

?      Identify and develop new local, regional, and national corporate accounts, with particular focus on capturing opportunities currently utilizing competing hotels.

?      Establish relationships with corporate travel managers, executive assistants, meeting planners, travel agencies, procurement contacts, and other key decision-makers and influencers.

?      Manage assigned Executive Meeting business through the complete sales cycle, including prospecting, qualification, site inspections, proposals, negotiation, contracting, planning, execution, and post-event follow-up.

?      Serve as the primary point of contact for assigned clients, ensuring timely communication, personalized service, attention to detail, and overall client satisfaction.

?      Plan, coordinate, and upsell assigned meetings and events, including guest rooms, meeting space, food and beverage, audiovisual, transportation, billing, timelines, and other event requirements.

?      Prepare accurate contracts, event orders/BEOs, group resumes, proposals, and other documentation necessary for successful event execution.

?      Conduct planning and pre-convention meetings as appropriate to ensure alignment between clients and resort operating departments.

?      Partner closely with Revenue Management to develop and negotiate appropriate corporate rates and maximize Business Transient production, ADR, occupancy, and account profitability.

?      Monitor account production, booking patterns, pickup, pace, and future opportunities and take appropriate action to grow account share and client retention.

?      Maintain accurate and timely account information, sales activities, leads, contacts, proposals, contracts, and production within the resort's sales and catering systems.

?      Work collaboratively with Conference Services, Catering, Revenue Management, Front Office, Food & Beverage, Marketing, and other resort departments to ensure seamless execution and exceptional client experiences.

?      Identify opportunities to cross-sell and upsell guest rooms, meeting space, food and beverage, golf, spa, and other resort amenities and experiences.

?      Conduct site inspections, client presentations, sales calls, sales blitzes, networking events, trade shows, FAM trips, client entertainment, and other business development activities.

?      Develop creative proposals and presentations that demonstrate the value of Lansdowne Resort and differentiate the resort from competing properties.

?      Maintain a strong understanding of Lansdowne Resort's guest rooms, meeting facilities, amenities, food and beverage offerings, packages, services, and overall competitive positioning.

?      Monitor competitive activity, market trends, and customer needs and communicate relevant opportunities and challenges to Sales leadership.

?      Provide regular reporting on prospecting activity, account development, pipeline, production, and revenue opportunities.

?      Represent Lansdowne Resort professionally within the local business community, hospitality industry, and professional organizations.

?      Perform special projects and other responsibilities as assigned and participate in task forces and committees as requested.

Qualifications & Experience

?      Previous experience in hospitality, hotel, resort, private club, event, corporate, or related sales environment preferred.

?      Demonstrated ability to prospect, build relationships, generate new business, and convert opportunities into revenue.

?      Experience managing the sales cycle from initial inquiry or prospecting through negotiation, contracting, and execution.

?      Strong proactive sales and business-development mindset with the ability to independently develop new accounts.

?      Excellent communication, presentation, negotiation, organizational, and relationship-building skills.

?      Ability to manage multiple accounts, clients, events, and priorities in a fast-paced environment.

?      Comfortable analyzing account production, sales activity, booking pace, and revenue performance.

?      Experience with hotel sales, catering, CRM, or event-management systems preferred.

?      Full-service hotel or resort experience preferred, but not required.

?      Associate or bachelor's degree in Hospitality, Business, Sales, or related field preferred, or equivalent relevant professional experience.

Other Duties

?      All Associates are required to fully comply with hotel and departmental rules, regulations, and policies for the safe, secure, effective, and environmentally friendly operation of the hotel facilities. Examples include, but are not limited to, lost and found procedures, emergency procedures, recycling efforts, etc.

?      Attend and participate in all hotel and/or departmental meetings, training sessions, and other information meetings.

?      Regular attendance in conformance with hotel standards is essential to the successful performance of this position.

?      Comply with hotel grooming standards for both uniformed and non-uniformed Associates.

?      Comply with hotel service and behavioral standards toward our guests, vendors, and fellow colleagues, including, but not limited to, ensuring proper phone etiquette, courteous and respectful behavior, and maintaining a friendly and positive attitude.

?      Perform all other duties as directed by management that are consistent with the policies and procedures of the hotel.
