Overview:

To ensure that linen is separated and delivered in appropriate amounts on each guest room floor. Also, keep assigned Housekeeping areas clean and fully stocked, and service assigned public areas to meet Hotel standards. Deliver any guest request items to rooms and/or service guest rooms as needed.

Responsibilities:

• Sorts and delivers all linen arriving at the hotel from outside vendors.
• Ensures that assigned linen room closets are stocked at par.
• Organizes linen closets.
• Keeps corridors on guest room floors clean.
• Completes guest requests.
• Clean guest rooms upon request.
• Must work well in stressful, high-pressure situations.
• Approach all encounters with guests and employees in a friendly, service-oriented manner.
• Maintain regular attendance in compliance with Hotel standards, as required by scheduling, which will vary according to the needs of the hotel.
• Comply at all times with Hotel standards and regulations to support safe, efficient hotel operations.
• Gather all cleaning supplies and return them daily. Complete all assigned cleaning duties in designated area.
• Report any engineering problems or repairs to Housekeeping Supervisor/Manager.
• Return any borrowed items (i.e., irons, boards, hairdryers, etc.) to the Housekeeping Department when taken from the guest room.
• Pick up trash and dirty linen from housekeeping regularly.
• Bring all dirty glasses to housekeeping at the end of the shift.
• Deliver guest requests within 10 minutes and call operator back once completed.
• Gain knowledge of all hotel facilities to answer questions from guests.
• Perform all other related duties as requested.

Qualifications:

• Maintain a professional business appearance, attitude, and performance.
• Prior housekeeping experience preferred or other relevant environmental services experience.
• Stand or walk for an extended period or for an entire work shift. Requires frequent bending, reaching overhead, and squatting.
• Must be willing to work flexible hours as needed during busy times and high-profile events, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
• Candidate must be able to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple priorities.
• Must possess the ability to handle stressful and busy hotel operations. Ability to maintain a positive and professional demeanor and composure at all times.
• Must have the ability to report to work on time and when scheduled.
• Must meet standards of appearance and maintain a high level of personal hygiene at all times.
