Overview:

To ensure that linen is separated and delivered in appropriate amounts, on each guest room floor. Also, keep assigned Housekeeping areas clean and fully stocked as well as to service assigned public areas to meet the expectations of the Hotel standards. Deliver any guest request items to rooms and or service guest rooms as needed.

Responsibilities:

• Sorts and delivers all linen arriving to hotel from outside vendor.
• Ensures that assigned linen room closets are stocked at par.
• Organize linen closets.
• Keep corridors on guest room floors clean.
• Completes guest requests.
• Clean guest rooms upon request.
• Must work well in stressful, high pressure situations.
• Approach all encounters with guests and employees in a friendly, service oriented manner.
• Maintain regular attendance in compliance with Hotel standards, as required by scheduling which will vary according to the needs of the hotel.
• Comply at all times with Hotel standards and regulations to encourage safe and efficient hotel operations.
• Gather all cleaning supplies and return them daily. Compete all assigned cleaning duties in designated area.
• Report any engineering problems or repairs to Housekeeping Supervisor/Manager.
• Return any borrowed items (i.e. irons, boards, hairdryers, etc.) to Housekeeping Department when taken from guest room.
• Pick up trash and dirty linen from housekeeping regularly.
• Bring all dirty glasses to housekeeping at end of shift.
• Deliver guest requests within 10 minutes and call operator back once completed.
• Gain knowledge of all hotel facilities to answer questions from guests.
• Perform all other related duties as requested.

Qualifications:

• Maintain a professional business appearance, attitude, and performance.
• Prior housekeeping experience preferred or other relevant environmental services experience.
• Stand or walk for an extended period or for an entire work shift. Requires frequent bending, reaching overhead and squatting.
• Must be willing to work flexible hours as needed during busy times and high-profile events, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
• Candidate must be able to work in a fast-paced environment and be able to handle multiple priorities.
• Must possess the ability to handle stressful and busy hotel operations. Ability to maintain a positive and professional demeanor and composure at all times.
• Must have the ability to report to work on time and when scheduled.
• Must meet standards of appearance and maintain a high level of personal hygiene at all time.
