Durango Cocina & Rooftop is looking for a reliable and hardworking Dishwasher to support our kitchen team. This position plays an important role in maintaining a clean, safe, and organized restaurant environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Wash and sanitize dishes, glassware, utensils, pots, pans, and kitchen equipment
• Operate the commercial dishwashing machine safely and correctly
• Keep the dishwashing area clean, organized, and free of hazards
• Remove trash, recycling, and food waste as needed
• Sweep and mop kitchen and back-of-house floors
• Maintain clean sinks, drains, shelves, and storage areas
• Properly store clean dishes, utensils, and kitchen equipment
• Assist with basic kitchen cleaning and food-preparation tasks when requested
• Follow food safety, sanitation, and chemical-handling procedures
• Refill cleaning supplies and notify management when supplies are running low
• Support cooks, prep cooks, and other team members during busy periods
• Complete opening, closing, and deep-cleaning duties as assigned
• Follow all restaurant policies, safety procedures, and management instructions

Qualifications

• Previous restaurant or dishwashing experience preferred, but not required
• Ability to work in a fast-paced kitchen environment
• Dependable, punctual, and able to work well as part of a team
• Ability to stand for extended periods
• Ability to bend, reach, carry, and lift kitchen supplies as needed
• Comfortable working around heat, water, cleaning chemicals, and wet surfaces
• Available to work evenings, weekends, holidays, and other shifts based on business needs
• Valid California Food Handler Card required or must be obtained within the required timeframe
