Summary:

This position ensures that all food and beverage service in the Consort Bar are personalized, professional, and upheld to the standards required by Omni on a consistent basis.

The starting wage rate for this position is $17.72 per hour. After six months of employment, the rate will increase to $19.30 per hour, in accordance with the applicable Collective Agreement.

Responsibilities:

• Greet guests as they are seated to the table
• Efficiently and properly perform all service standards and food handling regulations
• Able to suggest recommendations and address questions regarding dietary restrictions
• Present orders to guests in a prompt, courteous, and efficient manner
• Engage with guests and work as a team to ensure a seamless, personalized, and elevated experience
• Present accurate check and process payment
• Clean tables and maintain cleanliness of work areas throughout the shift
• Perform all required duties related to start, during, and end of shift tasks
• Attend pre-shift briefing with manager and team
• Attend training and other mandatory meetings at the hotel when required

Requirements

• Minimum 1 year serving experience required
• Previous serving experience in a four-star/four-diamond hotel or resort preferred
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Fluency in English is required; other languages are an asset.
• Previous experience using MICROS POS an asset
• Basic knowledge of food and beverages required
• Must be able to maintain service standards while under pressure
• Must have a flexible schedule and be able to work Days, Nights, Weekends, and Holidays
• Must be able to lift up to 25lbs, walk and stand comfortably for the duration of a shift
• Must be Smart Serve Certified
• Must be familiar with and adhere to all liquor laws
• Must be legally eligible to work in Canada
