Salary for this position starts at: $16.50/hour. Omni Viking Lakes Hotel reserves the right to pay more or less than listed compensation scale based on factors not related to sex or race. Part Time Associates at Omni Viking Lakes are entitled toelectthe following benefits: Dental, Vision and other healthcare benefits.

Essential Job Functions:
- Cleans Function Rooms Prior to Set-up.
- Set up, stock, and maintainmeetingrooms.
- Provides required amenities, as dictated by Banquet Department Standards.
- Refreshes meeting rooms during and in-between mealand coffee breaks.
- Breakdown meeting rooms as soon as possible afterthe endoffunction.
- Completes Special Projects as directed by department management.
- Moves convention material boxes, programs, etc. from hotel receiving docks, registration areas, sleeping rooms, or suites.
- Cares for banquet equipment.
- Accommodates special customer needs, hanging banners for meetings and food/beverage functions.
- Respond to last-minute requests andcommunicate changes toappropriate departments.
- Must follow all details as described on Banquet Event Orders (BEO’s).

Fulfills assigned tasks to ensure thatfunction roomsmeetall requirements reflected on the dailyworksheetsare met.
- Walls, baseboards, and light fixtures cleaned.
- Room to be vacuumed thoroughly.
- Drapes to be hung properly.
- Lighting and temperature control to client'srequest.
- Banquet equipment.
- Tablecloths and skirting to be cleaned and pressed.
- Uniformity among all set-ups in accordance.
- Ensures that cleanliness and order of all storageand back of houseareas isto ensure a productive,safeandenergy-conservingwork environment.
- Responsible for adhering to hotel policies and procedures, as well asall associatesafetytrainings.
- Attend department meetings and other companyrequiredtrainings.
- Complete other duties asassigned by management.
Qualifications:
- Minimum of2 yearspreviousbanquetexperiencein a high volume, upscalehotelrequired.
- Must have exceptional guest service skills.
- High School Diploma required.
- Must be willing to worka flexible schedule, including weekends,holidays,and evenings.
- Must have excellent interpersonalandcommunication skills.
- Must have a strong attention to detail, be able to make quick decisions andpossessgoodjudgment.
- Ability to multitaskand portray a friendly demeanor ina fast-paced environment.
- Must consistently demonstratea teamwork-oriented and positive attitude.
Physical Requirements:
- Must be able towalk, sit, stoop, kneel, crouch, crawl, and use hands and arms.
- Must be able topush, pull, stoop,bendand lift items ofsignificantweight, up to 50lbs minimum.
Working Environment:
- Interior and exterior or resort property depending on location of events, bar areas, storeroom.
- Exposure to various hazardous chemicals.
- Exposure tofood items and beverages.
Tools & Equipment:
- Risers’set-up, service carts, dance floor,stages,air walls, chair dollies.
