Set within the beautiful surroundings of Pulitzer Amsterdam, Jansz. is our elegant yet approachable restaurant where elevated casual dining meets the charm of a true Amsterdam canal house. Our breakfast experience combines an extensive buffet with high quality and locally sourced ingredients, alongside an à la carte menu prepared live in our open kitchen.

From fresh fruit and local cheeses to eggs Benedict, omelettes, and signature French toast, every detail is focused on creating a memorable start to the day.

We are looking for a Demi Chef de Partie Breakfast who is passionate about food, enjoys working in a dynamic kitchen environment, and takes pride in creating beautiful breakfast experiences.

Your mornings start early as the kitchen comes to life for breakfast service.

You prepare the mise en place for the day ahead, organise your section, and ensure the buffet is beautifully presented and fully stocked throughout service. In the open kitchen, you support the Chef de Partie with preparing à la carte breakfast dishes such as omelettes, poached eggs, eggs Benedict, and French toast, while maintaining quality, consistency, and speed.

You work closely with the team - led by Executive Chef Jeroen Boone - to create a smooth and welcoming breakfast experience for every guest. At the same time, you maintain cleanliness and organisation in the kitchen, follow HACCP standards, and support your colleagues wherever needed.

No morning is ever quite the same, and you stay flexible, focused, and calm throughout service.

• You prepare mise en place for the breakfast operation.
• You support the Chef de Partie during service.
• You maintain and refresh the breakfast buffet throughout service.
• You help prepare à la carte dishes in the open kitchen with consistency and care.
• You ensure ingredients are prepared, stored, and labelled correctly.
• You work according to HACCP and food safety standards.
• You help maintain a clean, organised, and efficient kitchen.
• You support stock control and minimise waste where possible.

• This is an entry level position, and we believe passion, motivation, and the right mindset are just as important as experience.
• Previous kitchen experience is a plus, but not essential. What matters most is that you are eager to learn, enjoy working as part of a team, and bring positive energy into the kitchen every day.
• You are organised, flexible, and reliable.
• You work well under pressure and have a strong eye for detail.
• You are comfortable working early mornings, weekends, and public holidays.
