True Blue Hospitality, operator of seven hotels across South Carolina, is seeking an experienced General Manager for our beautiful 103-room Holiday Inn Express & Suites in Mount Pleasant, SC near the Isle of Palms Connector. This property is one of our company’s flagship hotels, and we are looking for a strong leader to maintain its tradition of excellence.

Position Summary
The General Manager is responsible for overseeing all aspects of hotel operations, ensuring an exceptional guest experience, a well-trained and motivated team, adherence to brand standards, and strong financial performance.
Key Responsibilities
- Recruit, hire, and train qualified team members capable of delivering the highest level of guest service.
- Provide leadership and vision while upholding company and brand standards.
- Coach and mentor staff to promote high employee engagement and a positive work culture.
- Manage daily financial processes, including deposits.
- Complete all administrative tasks associated with the role.
- Work with brand Revenue Managers to identify opportunities to drive additional revenue through effective yield management.
- Conduct regular property inspections to ensure cleanliness, maintenance, and safety standards are consistently met.
- Review daily audit reports, ensuring accuracy and promptly addressing any discrepancies.
- Communicate operational updates and performance metrics—guest survey results, employee survey feedback, financial goals, and more—during staff meetings.
- Serve as a professional role model and foster a positive, productive work environment.
- Build strong relationships with guests and staff, resolving issues promptly and effectively.
Qualifications
- Minimum of 3 years of hotel general manager experience preferred but not required.
- IHG brand experience is preferred.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Strong organizational, planning, and attention-to-detail abilities.
- Proven success in recruiting, motivating, and training team members.
- Ability to take direction and work closely with ownership and/or management company representatives.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and brand-specific systems.
