Position: Director of Banquets

Department: Banquet

Purpose: To ensure proper servicing of all Banquet Functions

Reportsto: Food and Beverage Director

Essential Functions:

Assist Banquet Director in the performance of duties.
Oversee and maintainallbanquetequipment, functionspacesand cleanliness of all banquet areas.
Control payroll and maintainassigned records.
Coordinate functions with Service Staff.
Coordinate services required by StewardingDepartment.
Ensures appropriatesetup of functions.
Overseesfunctions flow smoothly and troublefree.
Hire staff, discipline staff, evaluate their performanceand document all aspects of their employment.
Training programsboth group and individualto stressservice,safety and product knowledge.
Evaluating and pre-planning, being prepared for large groups and special functions including holidays.
Work in a safe manner at all timesand follow all safety procedures as outlined in your Standards of Conduct and Loss Prevention Manual.

Qualifications:

Some College.
Must have a minimum of 3 years directly relatedBanquet/F&B experience.
High volume banquet organizational detail and communication skills.
Strong management, leadershipand team work ethics.
Able to work flexible schedules including evenings, weekendsand holidays. 
Needs to understand 4 diamond service-beverage controls.
Must have an understanding of associate administration and Human Resources procedures.
