Job Description and Responsibilities

• Deliver administrative excellence by managing Banquet Event Orders, crafting detailed proposals, and ensuring seamless communication across contracts, payments, and event specifics.
• Act as the critical link ensuring contracts meet precision and punctuality requirements across departments.
• Engage directly with clients post-contract-signing to ensure every event detail sparkles.
• Support our sales and catering teams by identifying and distributing qualified leads.
• Lead captivating site inspections and provide expert pre-event consultations, ensuring every client query is met with impeccable detail and friendly service.
• Post-event, reconnect with clients to confirm Delta Hotels by Marriott Toronto Mississauga has not only met but exceeded their expectations.
• Enhance customer acquisition initiatives by engaging in proactive prospecting and clear communication of potential leads.
• Ensure inquiry responses are swift and professional, keeping pace with our dedication to outstanding service standards.
• Build and maintain robust relations with suppliers and event planners to boost business and brand visibility.
• Stay ahead of industry trends and contribute to the innovation of new event themes and exceptional service standards.
• Serve as a liaison, ensuring harmonious coordination between the Sales Department and other hotel functions.
• Curate engaging content and manage social media platforms to enhance our online presence.
• Handle sensitive information with the highest degree of integrity and confidentiality.

Qualifications

An ideal candidate will possess a degree or diploma in Marketing, Business, or Hospitality Management, supplemented by 1-2 years of experience in the hospitality or related service industry. Experience in group event management will be viewed favorably.

• Fluency in English with adept written and verbal communication skills.
• Proficiency in Sales Systems such as Opera and CI/TY.
• A proactive approach to meeting deadlines and achieving goals.
• Exceptional organizational skills are required for maintaining efficient filing systems, both digital and traditional.
