Omni Hilton Head Oceanfront Resort is seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Groundskeeper to help maintain the beauty and cleanliness of our oceanfront property. In this role, you will be responsible for maintaining resort landscaping, outdoor areas, and public spaces to ensure a safe, welcoming, and visually appealing environment for our guests and associates.

As a member of our Engineering and Housekeeping team, you will play an important role in preserving the natural beauty of our resort while supporting Omni’s commitment to exceptional guest experiences.

Responsibilities Grounds & Landscaping Maintenance

• Maintain resort landscaping including lawns, shrubs, trees, flower beds, and outdoor areas

• Mow, edge, trim, and water lawns and landscaped areas as needed

• Plant, prune, and maintain seasonal plants, flowers, and greenery

• Remove weeds, debris, and fallen branches from landscaped areas and walkways

Property Appearance & Upkeep

• Maintain cleanliness of sidewalks, pathways, parking areas, and public outdoor spaces

• Assist with irrigation system monitoring and minor adjustments

• Remove trash and maintain outdoor trash receptacles

• Ensure resort grounds remain safe and visually appealing for guests

Equipment & Safety

• Safely operate landscaping equipment including mowers, trimmers, blowers, and other grounds tools

• Perform basic maintenance and cleaning of landscaping equipment

• Follow all safety procedures when operating tools and equipment

• Report equipment issues, hazards, or maintenance concerns to management

Team Support

• Assist with seasonal landscaping projects and resort beautification efforts

• Support other departments when needed to maintain property standards

• Participate in training and follow all company policies and procedures

Qualifications

• Previous groundskeeping, landscaping, or maintenance experience preferred

• Ability to safely operate landscaping equipment and tools

• Strong attention to detail and commitment to maintaining a beautiful property

• Ability to work independently and as part of a team

• Strong work ethic and dependable attendance

• Ability to work a flexible schedule including weekends and holidays

Work Environment

• Primarily outdoors throughout the resort property

• Exposure to varying weather conditions

• Interaction with guests and associates in a hospitality environment
