JOBPURPOSE: The Nail Technicianis responsible forguest satisfaction in the spa by performing services to the best of their ability andmaintainingOmni standards throughout all procedures.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:

• As part of theMOKARA Spa team,spa providers are to consistently provide the highest possible standard of treatment, creating a sensory journey for guests helping them to rest, relax and regain a sense of balance and harmony in their lives.

• Responsible for setting up the nail stations and pedicure thrones according to procedures anddisposeof laundryina timelybasis.

• Responsible forcleaning, sanitizing, andsetting up thenail stationsaccording to procedures.

• Maintain sanitation of work area and equipment as required by state board guidelines.

• Ensure all professional stock is being used in compliance with the PAR levels toassistwith reduction in product waste.

• To begin and end treatments at the published time and ensure correct procedures of all treatmentsare always being followed.

• Strive to consistently produce a minimum of 10% in retail sales.

QUALIFICATIONS:

• Minimum1-yearexperience in nail therapy,preferably in an upscale salon or spa setting.

• Current State ofFloridaNailTechnicianLicense.

• Mustmaintaina city business tax permit with the city of Fort Lauderdale upon hire.

• Must be able to provide all phases of nail carei.e.spa manicures, spa pedicures, paraffin treatments, French upgrade on hands and toes, and specialize in natural nailsand gel polish application.

• Good verbal/written communication skills.

• Attention to detail and excellent organizational skills.

• Commitment to exceeding the expectations of customers, alwaysoperatingwith astrong attention to detail to the client’s needs. 

• Ability to work well under pressure, managingback-to-backappointments in a high volume 4 diamond environment.

• Maintain a professional business appearance, attitude, and performance.

• Must be able to work a variety of shifts, including being on call for weekends, evenings, and holidays.

• Ability to obtain a State of Florida Alcoholic Beverage Commission server permit.

ENVIRONMENT&POSITION ANALYSIS:

• Move, bend, lift, carry, push, pull, and place objects weighing up to 40 pounds withoutassistance.

• Stand,walkor sit for an extended period or for an entire work shift.

• Requires repetitive motion, including utilizing telephone/computer for an extended period or for an entire shift.

TOOLS& EQUIPMENT:

• Desktop computer,selected spa program, printer, telephone, copier, faxmachineand scanner. Cleaning supplies such as vacuum, mop, broom,dusterand chemicals.
