Overview:

To ensure a safe, efficient, well-maintained hotel environment while providing maintenance services to guests in a courteous, professional, and engaging manner.

Responsibilities:

• Maintain all public areas, guest rooms, meetingroomsand corridors on an on-going basis including paint,wallpaperand plastering.

• Performs preventive maintenance of guest rooms, following preventive maintenance guidelines forOmniCARE program.

• Maintain correct stock/inventory of paint supplies and materials and communicate when replenishment is needed.

• Aid guests inlocatingother areas of the hotel (walk them to destination if possible).

• Have a thorough understanding of Omni's fire alarm procedures and emergency evacuation. 

• Must be familiar with Omni's systems and procedures.

• Respond to all requests.

• Assistengineers and mechanics as needed with repairs.

• Keep all work areas clean.

Qualifications:

• Previousexperience as a commercial painterrequired,hotel experience preferred.

• Must be able to brush, roll, spray, and work on different textures.

• Must be able to patch,floatand repair damaged surfaces.

• Must be able to work with stains, lacquers, varnishes,epoxyand Bondo.

• Must be able to apply caulk.

• Must be willing to work based on business and occupancy levels.  

• Must be able toworka flexible schedule including nights, weekends, holidays, and overtime.  

• Must be able to interact and communicate with the hotel guests.  

• Move, bend, lift, carry, crawl, squat, push, pull, and place objects weighing up to 50 pounds withoutassistance. Stand, walk or sit for an extended period or for an entire work shift.  

• Must work indoors andoutdoorsincluding during extreme weather conditions. 

• May be asked to be part of “ride-out” crew during severe weather events.

• Must be able to work using ladders, scissors, and aerial lifts. 

• Tools and Equipment:

• Painting/finishing tools and equipment, ladder, telephone, pen/pencil, photo-copying machine and push to talk radio

• Working Environment:

• Move, bend, lift, carry, push, pull, and place objects weighing up to 50 pounds withoutassistance. Stand, walk or sit for an extended period or for an entire work shift.Requires repetitive motion, including utilizing telephone/computer for an extended period or for an entire shift.
