JOBPURPOSE:

Ensure proper set up, break down, and cleanlinessofbanquet andmeeting facilitiesaccording

to the guest’s expectations and Omni standards.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:

• Cleansbanquet and meeting facilitiesprior toset-up.

• Sets ofequipment(i.e., tables, chairs, linens, office items,glassware,and pitchers.)toDaily Work Sheet specifications.

• Provides required amenities, as dictated by Banquet Department Standards.

• Refreshmeeting rooms during meal and coffee breaks(trash removal,refreshmentof pads & pens,wipetablesrefresh ofcandycaddies'glassware and water pitcher or water bottles).

• Breakdown meeting rooms as soon as possible afterendoffunctionand vacuum room.

• Moves convention material boxes, programs, etc. from hotel receiving docks, registration areas, sleeping rooms, or suites.When client packages are ready to ship back, move to the shippinglocation.Caring for the equipment.

• Accommodates special customer needs, hanging banners for meetings and food/beverage functions.

• Organizing andmaintainingthe back of the house areas to ensure a productive, safe andenergy conservingwork environment.

• Inspectseach function room priortoand during breaks to ensure that all requirements reflected on the daily worksheets are met.Specific hotel standards must also be fulfilled:

• Walls, baseboards, and light fixturescleaned.

• Room to be vacuumed thoroughly.

• Drapes to be hung properly.

• Lighting and temperature control toclientrequest.

• Maintain cleanliness of Banquet meeting space and equipment.

• Tablecloths and skirting to be cleaned and pressed.

• Uniformity among all set-ups in accordance.

• Ensuresthat cleanliness and order of all storage areas ismaintained.

• Completesspecialprojects asdirected by department management.

QUALIFICATIONS:

• Previousbanquet and event set up experience,preferred.

• Previoushospitality/customer service experience, preferred.

• Ability to clearly and pleasantly communicate both verbally and in writing in English with guests, management and co-workers, both in person and by radio.

• Ability to work cohesively with co-workers both within and outside of your department.

• Ability to think clearly, quickly and make concise decisions.

• Ability to prioritize,organizeand follow up in afast-pacedenvironment.

• Ability to handle stressfulsituations,whilemaintaininga calm and welcoming demeanor.

• Must be able to stand and walk for an extendedperiodor forduration ofshift.

• Must be able to work flexible shifts including nights, weekends, and holidays. 

ENVIRONMENT&POSITION ANALYSIS:

• Move, bend, lift, carry, push, pull, and place objects weighing up to50 pounds withoutassistance.

• Position requires frequent bending, squatting,kneelingand reaching overhead, standing,andwalkingfor an extended period,or forduration ofshift.

• Requires repetitive motion, with consistent use of hands and arms.

TOOLS& EQUIPMENT:

• Table, chairs, risers, dance floor, furniture, pallets, pallet jack, flat bed, chair carts, vacuum cleaners, shampoo machine, sweeper, linen, skirts, napkins, drop over, guest supplies, meeting amenities, pen, pencil, notepad, waterpitcherand glasses.
