Description

The Restaurant Supervisor oversees daily floor operations at Salt + Ash, ensuring exceptional guest service, efficient service flow, and adherence to luxury hospitality standards. This role supervises front-of-house staff, supports training and scheduling, and ensures the restaurant operates smoothly during each shift.

Key Responsibilities

Operations & Service

Supervise daily restaurant operations during assigned shifts
Ensure all service standards and luxury hospitality protocols are followed
Monitor table service, pacing, and guest satisfaction
Assist with opening and closing procedures
Coordinate communication between kitchen and front-of-house teams
Resolve guest complaints or service issues quickly and professionally

Staff Supervision

Supervise servers, hosts, bussers, runners, and bartenders
Assist with employee training and onboarding
Ensure staff follow grooming, uniform, and service standards
Assign sections and manage floor coverage during service
Provide coaching and feedback to improve team performance

Guest Experience

Welcome and interact with guests to ensure satisfaction
Handle VIP guests and special requests
Maintain a positive, welcoming atmosphere
Anticipate guest needs and support service staff

Compliance & Standards

Ensure compliance with food safety and sanitation regulations
Follow alcohol service laws and responsible beverage service practices
Maintain cleanliness and organization in the dining area
Ensure proper POS usage and accurate order handling

Administrative Support

Assist managers with scheduling and shift planning
Support inventory checks and supply management
Monitor labor efficiency and service flow
Help track guest feedback and operational improvements

Qualifications

2–4 years of restaurant or hospitality experience
Previous supervisory or team-lead experience preferred
Experience in upscale or resort dining environments
Strong knowledge of food, wine, and beverage service
Excellent communication and leadership skills
Ability to work evenings, weekends, and holidays
