Director of Sales - Sonesta Baltimore Inner Harbor

The Opportunity Rising Tide Hotels is a dynamic, results-driven hotel management company focused on maximizing asset value. We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Director of Sales to lead the sales strategy for the Sonesta Baltimore Inner Harbor. This is a critical, hands-on role for a true market "fixer"—someone ready to rebuild and strategically position this full-service hotel for market share dominance. You will be instrumental in the property's success, driving all top-line revenue activities and building relationships within the Baltimore market.

Key Responsibilities

  • Strategic Leadership: Develop and execute a comprehensive, data-driven sales strategy to achieve and exceed budgeted revenue goals across all segments (Group, Transient, and Catering).
  • Market Penetration: Actively solicit and acquire new business, focusing on key accounts and developing new business streams to grow market share (RGI).
  • Forecasting & Analysis: Monitor sales results, conduct regular market analysis, and provide accurate revenue forecasting to the General Manager and executive leadership.
  • Interdepartmental Collaboration: Work in close partnership with the General Manager, Revenue Management, and Operations to ensure seamless execution of services and a clear alignment of sales strategy with operational capabilities.
  • Brand Adherence: Ensure all sales and marketing efforts meet the standards of the Sonesta brand and Rising Tide Hotels.

Qualifications

  • Minimum of 5 years of progressive experience in hotel sales, with at least 2 years in a Director of Sales role at a full-service property.
  • Demonstrated ability to aggressively grow market share and drive significant top-line revenue growth.
  • Strong understanding of revenue management principles (GOP, RGI, GSS, QA) and P&L statements.
  • Exceptional leadership, negotiation, and written/verbal communication skills.
  • Proficiency in hotel sales systems (e.g., Opera, Delphi FDC) and standard business software.

Compensation & Benefits

  • Competitive annual base salary.
