• Be available to work a flexible schedule, including weekends, holidays, and varied shifts. 
• Interview, select, train, schedule, coach and support associates, ensuring they are in accordance with established brand and company standards.
• Oversee hotel departments to ensure an positive service experience is provided to hotel guests.
• Focus on achievement of hotel financial goals / budget targets.
• Ensure that payroll and purchasing controls are in place to maintain and exceed profit goals.
• Assist the GM in developing long- and short-range financial objectives consistent with property objectives.
• Ensure that all CN Hotels and franchise operating standards are followed.
• Be accessible to guests and employees.
• Maintain complete knowledge of hotel features, room types, rates, room availability, and expected arrivals/departures.
• Participate in weekly revenue management calls
• Handle guest complaints ensuring guest satisfaction. 
• Assist staff with their job functions to ensure optimum service to guests.
• Leads all aspects of employee performance to ensure productivity and a quality work environment.
• Establishes, maintains, and trains standards and procedures for cleaning and safe working conditions in all departments.
• Works to ensure high scores for customer service, cleanliness and other related items on all CN Hotels and Franchise inspections.
• Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

• Minimum of one year of management experience in the hospitality industry.
• Ability to satisfactorily communicate with guests, management and co-workers to their understanding. 
• High school graduate or equivalent; college degree in hospitality management or business preferred.
• Bilingual English/Spanish a plus.
• Knowledge of budget preparation and cost controls.
• Strong computer skills in MS Word, Excel with an understanding of the hotel PMS which is Opera.
• Working knowledge of all hotel departments.
• Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.  
• Ability to write routine reports and correspondence.  
• Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of organization.
• Ability to apply good judgment to carry out instructions.
• Knowledge of local activities and attractions appropriate for clientele.
