The Yoga Fitness Instructor is responsible for conducting multiple fitness classes and assisting the guests in the Health and Fitness Club when not instructing. Must be able to work a flexible schedule, days and evenings, including weekends.

The Yoga Fitness Instructor shall always strive to provide exceptional service to internal and external guests. They will be responsible for exemplifying the Lake Austin Spa Culture of Wellness.

• Teach or lead a variety of safe and effective exercise classes and activities.
• Provide excellent guest service and promote positive guest relations by being courteous, friendly, and attentive.
• Provide one-on-one personal training or consultations on various health-related and life-enhancement issues.
• Promote activities, programs, promotions, and in-house events.
• Promote revenue for the activities department by providing a la carte personal training and consultations.
• Maintain supplies and equipment.

ADDITIONAL RESPONSIBILITIES:

In addition to performing the essential functions, this position may be required to perform additional functions according to the needs of the spa and as assigned by the supervisor. These responsibilities may include but are not limited to:

• Create in-house promotional materials supporting the activities schedule.
• Attend mandatory staff meetings.
• Be available to guests before and after classes and activities.
• Light to moderate administrative duties.
• Other duties as assigned.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES:

The individual must possess the following knowledge, skills, and abilities and be able to explain and demonstrate that they can perform the job's essential functions, with or without reasonable accommodation, using some other combination of skills and abilities.

Knowledge:

• Knowledgeable in the basic principles of fitness, safety, anatomy, and physiology.

Skills:

• Customer service skills.
• Basic skills in a variety of personal fitness activities.

Abilities:

• Ability to understand each guest's individual goals, needs, and perspectives.
• Ability to plan, organize, and teach a variety of group activities.

• Must be Certified in Yoga
• Must be at least 18 years of age
• Must be able to follow instructions, both verbally and written accurately
• Must be highly detailed orientated
• Must be able to work in a fast-paced environment
• Must possess excellent communication skills
• Must be professional in appearance and demeanor
• Must be reliable and dependable
• Ability to work a flexible schedule that may include evenings, weekends, and holidays
• Must have the ability to deal effectively and interact well with the guests and associates
• Must have the ability to resolve problems/conflicts in a diplomatic and tactful manner
• Must have a passion for creating an exceptional experience for all guests
