Commonwealth Hotels was founded in 1986 when hotel veteran, Dan Fay, teamed with construction and real estate developer, Bill Butler of Corporex, to form a hotel management company. In the process of forming the company, they began the development and construction of the Commonwealth Hilton located near the Greater Cincinnati Airport, as well as the formation of the management company, Commonwealth Hotels, Inc. During the development of Commonwealth's first hotel, Gordon Snyder was brought on board to assist in the development and opening of the Hilton.

Today, Commonwealth Hotels has two divisions, a high end full service hotel division called Commonwealth Hotel Collection (CHC) and a diversified select service hotel division. The successes we have achieved for our owners have established us as a premier hotel management company that continues to grow. Mr. Snyder took on the role as President to start up the CHC full service division. Mr. Snyder has over 40 years of hotel manager experience with Marriott, Hilton, Hyatt, Starwood as well as independent Hotels.

As the company has grown, Commonwealth Hotel Collection has taken on outside management contracts, delivering the same success for venture partners and third party owners as they have realized for themselves. The fact that Mr. Butler, Mr. Fay and Mr. Snyder are owners as well as investors and operators, has always been the keys to their success.

Today, Commonwealth manages over 40 properties including a wide variety of premium brand hotels in multiple markets. The success we have achieved for our associates and our owners has established us as a premier hotel management company that continues to grow.
