Job Description

The store clerk is responsible for providing our guests with exceptional customer service, maintaining cleanliness of your work environment, and selling attraction tickets. The work schedule may include days, nights, and weekends and holidays.

Job Functions:
  • Operate cash registers and making correct change.
  • Enter sales into POS system.
  • Assist with store opening and closing procedures.
  • Maintain confidentiality with customer information.
  • Stock shelves with merchandise.
  • Maintain cleanliness throughout the store and at the end of each shift.
  • Sell merchandise to customers.
  • Operate Galaxy system to sell tickets.

Job Requirements

Basic Qualifications:
  • Must be 16 years of age or older on the day of applying for this position.
  • Must have a valid driver's license.


Additional Qualifications:
  • Must be friendly, upbeat, and work well with other employees and be able to interact with our guests.
  • Must have reliable transportation to and from work for your scheduled shifts.
  • Possess ability to work independently or as a member of a team.
  • Must be able to speak, write, and understand English.
  • Must display a positive attitude, eagerness to learn, and professional image in compliance with the Hershey Entertainment & Resorts guidelines.
  • Must have the ability to safeguard confidential information.


Working Conditions:
  • Physical requirements include standing at least 95% of the shift, communicating clearly, walking, bending, and pushing and lifting up to 35 pounds.
  • Schedule will rotate to cover hours of operation between 7:00AM and 11:00PM; including weekends and holidays.
  • Must be able to work in combination of indoor and outdoor weather conditions

ANDREW HELMERVICE PRESIDENT, HUMAN RESOURCESAndy was named Vice President, Human Resources in January 2014. Andy began his career with the company in 1984 at Hersheypark and held various positions in the Foods Department at the Park over the next eight years. In 1992, he began his management career as Food Service Personnel Coordinator. Throughout his more than 20-year career with the company, Andy has held a variety of positions, including Manager Compensation/HRIS and Assistant General Manager of the Entertainment Complex. Prior to becoming the company's Vice President, Human Resources, Andy served as Managing Director of Human Resources.
JOHN K. LAWNPRESIDENT & CHIEF EXECUTIVE OFFICERJohn was appointed a Director of the company in June 2017. John was elected Chief Executive Officer in June 2017 after serving as President since September 2016. He previously served as Vice President and Chief Operating Officer and held other leadership positions in the Entertainment division, including Director of Food & Beverage and Assistant General Manager of Hersheypark®. Prior to joining the company, John worked with clients at Yankee Stadium, FedEx Field, and the Men's US Open Championships, as well as at other sporting venues and premier hospitality events throughout the country. John is a member of the Pennsylvania Restaurant & Lodging Association and the International Association of Amusement Parks and Attractions (IAAPA). He serves on the boards of both the Harrisburg Regional Chamber & CREDC and the Pennsylvania Chamber of Business and Industry.
