The Spa Coordinator performs a variety of front desk and spa attendant job duties to maintain smooth operations of the spa front desk, lobby, dining area and locker room. Acts as the first point of contact for guests entering the spa or locker room. Provides professional and courteous service throughout each guest's visit to ensure a memorable experience that exceeds expectations.
Greets and welcomes all guests entering the spa in a timely and professional manner.
Checks guests in for their appointments.
Acts as a resource for all services, treatments and policies of the spa, including cancellation policy, service charges, retail items, treatment procedures, etc.
Schedules service and treatment appointments.
Handles all point of sale functions for services, retail products, and gift cards. Accepts cash and credit cards, provides change, and issues receipts.
Maintains cash bank and deposits all monies received daily.
Processes food and beverage orders.
Answers the telephone in a professional and courteous manner, assisting callers or transferring calls to the appropriate person.
Cleans and maintains the waiting area and dining room.
Works at the issuance desk to issue robes, slippers, and locker keys to guests.
Performs opening job duties to include turning on lights, music, steam room, sauna, etc.
Monitors the operation of the locker room and facilities area to ensure smooth operations.
Oversees the operations and daily sanitation of the steam and sauna areas.
Performs general housekeeping duties, dusts and straightens furniture and performs minor maintenance work.
Replenishes guest amenities, clothing and towels.
Sets-up and replenishes the refreshment areas in the lounges.
Assists with the removal of used linen and the stocking of clean linen in storage areas.
Assists with the transfer of used/clean linen to/from the housekeeping department.
Assists as an attendant in the fitness center as needed.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
High school diploma or equivalent
One year related customer service experience, preferably in a luxury spa or hotel setting
Experience using reservations and POS systems preferred
SKILLS & ABILITIES
Strong verbal communication skills
Excellent time management and organizational skills
Basic computer and math skills
Ability to pay close attention to detail
Ability to work a flexible schedule, including evenings, weekends and holidays to accommodate business needs
Ability to stand for extended periods, walk, hear, talk, kneel, bend, stoop, grasp, reach and perform repetitive motions
Ability to push, pull, lift, carry or otherwise move up to 10 lbs. regularly and up to 50 lbs. occasionally
