Job Description

The Embassy Suites Denver Tech Center North is looking for a Laundry Attendant to join our team! This part time position has the potential to become a full time position.

The laundry attendant would be responsible for ensuring the proper sorting and distribution of laundry to meet high standards of quality by completing the following essential functions:
  • empty the laundry chute and prepare loads for washer
  • pre-sort and separate linen by classification
  • transfering the linen by lifting, carrying, or transporting to work stations
  • run folding equipment to fold mats, blankets, towels, bedspreads, etc., this includes running the ironer
  • separate laundry that requires mending or special stain removal
  • other duties as assigned such as assisting room attendants or house person when requested.

Job Requirements

The individual must possess the following knowledge, skills, and abilities and be able to explain and demonstrate that he or she can perform the essential functions of the job, with or without reasonable accommodation.
  • Ability to extend arms, scrub, bend, stoop, and stand and walk for extended periods of time.
  • Ability to lift, bend, stoop, carry, push, or pull heavy loads, and stand for long periods of time. May require lifting bundles (linen) weighing up to 50 lbs.
  • Ability to push and/or pull wheeled carts weighing up to 100 lbs.
  • Basic ability to comprehend English language sufficient to understand information such as safety labels and instructions.
  • Ability to understand and follow directions, and perform job functions under limited supervision.

Dawna ComeauxSenior Vice President25+ years in the hospitality industry, representing all major hotel brands, including 260 hotels across 45 states with more than 8,000 employees Prior to joining Spire Hospitality, Comeaux led the sales, revenue management and operation teams of one of the largest third-party hospitality management companies, Pillar Hotels and Resorts Previously, Comeaux held the Senior Vice President of Sales and Senior Vice President of Operations role for Archon Hospitality and was an Area Director of Operations for Prism Hotels
Chris RussellChief Executive OfficerIndustry veteran overseeing a diverse portfolio of assets from Marriott, Hilton, IHG and independent hotels. Previously led Archon Hospitality, the in-house hotel management company for a Goldman Sachs subsidiary. Archon sold in 2011 and the business was rebranded Pillar Hotels & Resorts where Russell remained President/CEO managing over $2 billion of assets consisting of 260 hotels in 45 states with 8,000 employees. Pillar Hotels & Resorts sold to Aimbridge Hospitality in 2016 and subsequently joined Spire in 2018.
