Job summary Clean cooking utensils and serviceware in order to provide cooks, buspersons, and food servers with appropriate equipment for guests’ dining experience. Also required cleaning of physical surroundings. The incumbent is authorized to take reasonable action necessary to carry out assigned duties and responsibilities, provided such action is consistent with position guidelines as outlined below or though the exercise of sound, reasonable judgment and initiative in the performance of job responsibilities. Position guidelines include, but are not limited to, established company and department policies and procedures and all supervisory directives. Summary of essential job functions 1. Promptly and carefully sort soiled ware so that it can be put through the dish or pot machine properly 2. Quickly wash all ware and replace in storage area as designated 3. Keep dish machine properly cleaned and filled with water per hotel standards 4. Operate burnishing machine to ensure proper finish on silverware 5. Detarnish/polish silver for proper appearance 6. Clean kettles, tilt skillets, pots, and pans promptly and completely so cooks can carry out their work 7. Perform general routine cleaning tasks using standard hotel cleaning products as assigned by the supervisor to adhere to health standards 8. Clean and dry floors to avoid accidents involving slipping and falling
Educational/Experience Requirements 1. Any combination of education, training, or experience that provides the required knowledge, skills, and abilities 2. Prior hospitality experience preferred Abilities Required 1. Physical strength and stamina are essential to this position due to high activity levels 2. Ability to understand English so to fully understand job requests 3.
