Solicits new accounts and develops relationships with existing accounts.
Pursues new opportunities in untapped markets for Corporate and Entertainment Group sales efforts.
Handles account details so that all pertinent aspects of solicitation and closing are completed and documented.
Travels locally, nationally or internationally to conduct outside calls, sales trips, to promote the hotel and review competition reader boards to develop leads.
Meets and greets clients, conducts property tours, and promotes the hotel.
Answers all customer inquiries.
Develops target line and action plan for account solicitation.
Meets or exceeds individual sales goals.
Represents hotel at trade shows as specified by the Director of Sales & Marketing. Sets up exhibits involving bending, stooping, lifting and reading overhead.
Provides written information in Group Resume to be distributed to all departments of the hotel. Details may include arrival/departure dates & times, meeting rooms & reserved functions, food & beverage needed payment arrangements etc.
Assists the Director of Sales & Marketing with the maintenance of sales files.
Participates in the sales/catering department reader board program.
Utilizes the Delphi computer system to track all aspects of booking.
Other duties as assigned such as ordering amenities for meeting planners or VIP's
Minimum of 2-3 years of sales experience is required. Luxury/Lifestyle hotel experience preferred.
Four year college degree preferred, however any combination of education and training within hotel sales may also be considered.
Basic mathematical and calculator skills to prepare cost proposals.
Must be skilled in Windows, Company approved spreadsheets and word processing.
Must be able to effectively communicate both verbally and written with all level of employees and guests in an attentive, friendly, courteous and service oriented manner.
Must be able to understand and evaluate complex information, data, etc. from various sources to meet appropriate objectives.
Must be able to maintain confidentiality of information
Ability to move throughout the hotel to conduct site inspections.
Ability to work in a fast pace environment
