Job Overview

To support the hotel, culinary teams of Departure, Urban Farmer, and our Banquets team in the procurement of exceptional quality food products from all culinary outlets. This is a fast-paced team that takes pride in delivering service and cuisine that goes a step beyond expectation. This position is key in the delivery of that promise.

Responsibilities

  • Load and unload at the point of pick-up, delivery or distribution when necessary.
  • Pack, unpack, count, weigh and measure materials, supplies and equipment upon receipt.
  • Check materials received against invoices and notes breakage and discrepancies in quantity or quality.
  • Refuse acceptance of damaged, unacceptable, or incorrect items.
  • Classifies, store and/or delivers items to requisitioning departments
  • Responsible to ensure cleanliness and sanitation of work areas.
  • Adhere to food safety and handling policies and procedures across all food-related areas.
  • Monitor PAR levels for all food items to ensure proper levels.

Job Requirements

Qualifications

Education/Formal Training

High school diploma or vocational secretarial.

Experience

Previous sales, hospitality, and secretarial experience preferred.

Knowledge/Skills
  • Ability to type 60 WPM, Microsoft Word applications: Word, Excel, Publisher and Powerpoint.
  • Alphabetizing, grammar and punctuation skills.
  • Standard business letter formats.
  • Strong editing skills.
  • Excellent hearing required for telephone inquiries and client and associate handling.
  • Excellent vision required as contracts and letters are hand written, filing, using computer, checking diary.
  • Excellent speech communication skills necessary to communicate clearly with customers and other departments.
  • Excellent comprehension and literacy required to read manager's letters, help prepare contracts and proposals. Excellent attention to detail and multi tasking skills

Matt earned a B.S. with Honors from Cornell University and an M.B.A from MIT’s Sloan School of Management.
Jason AltbergerChief Investment OfficerJason Altberger is Sage Hospitality’s Chief Investment Officer and leads Sage’s continued growth in the real estate investment market, targeting urban lifestyle hotels and developments that align with the company’s vision within the United States. Jason joins Sage after 18 years at real estate private equity firm DLJ Real Estate Capital Partners where he spent the final eight years of his tenure as Managing Director. In this role, he was responsible for a range of assets and investment opportunities and served as an investment committee member for both the US and China funds. He held previous positions with real estate merchant bank Cheslock, Bakker & Associates and the New York office of accounting firm Price Waterhouse. Jason received his undergraduate degree from Georgetown University, magna cum laude, and an MBA from The Wharton School of Business with highest distinction. He is also a licensed CPA, he is an avid runner and serves on the board of a charter school in New Jersey.
Zack NeumeyerChairmanZachary T. Neumeyer is a businessman and civic leader. He is the Chairman of Sage Hospitality and is the Vice Chair of Mobile Accord. He is or has been an investor and board member of companies in the technology, communications, manufacturing, senior housing, banking and service industries. He also works on K-12 education reform in Colorado and nationally. Zack’s civic focus is ensuring that every child in America can fulfill their potential.
