 3H Group, Inc., recognized as a Top 100 Hotel Owner & Developer by Hotel Business magazine and a leading Southeastern U.S. hotel company managing Marriott, IHG and Hilton brands is excited to be seeking an energetic and goal oriented Assistant General Manager for our TownePlace Suites property located in Franklin, TN!

As an Assistant General Manager, you will work closely with the General Manager to oversee daily operations, supporting all aspects, including guest and employee satisfaction, human resources, financial performance, sales, and revenue generation and delivering a return on investment. You will assist the General Manager inleading the team in the development and implementation of property-wide strategies with the objective of meeting or exceeding guest expectations.

We are looking for an Assistant General Manager, who combines meticulous professionalism with a friendly, welcoming, and energetic personality. As you will manage a team, you must always be willing to roll up your sleeves leading by example, demonstrating self-confidence, energy and enthusiasm, operating the hotel as though you were welcoming guests into your own home. It is also important that you have excellent communication, interpersonal and presentation skills as well as the ability to effectively lead, influence, and encourage others.

Your specific duties in this role will include:

  • Ensuring that all brand standards are being maintained in each area of the property.
  • Performing required Quality Assurance audits with GM.
  • Providing a safe working environment incompliance with all labor laws and 3H Group standards while promoting both Guarantee of Fair Treatment and Open Door policies
  • Overseeing finance and accounting functions, including, but not limited to, accounts payable, accounts receivable, petty cash, payroll and ordering procedures, end of period, banking procedures, etc.
  • Oversee the Front Desk Department working closely with the Front Desk associates to ensure they are properly trained and have all the tools and resources needed to succeed.
  • Be fully trained in all aspects of the Front Desk to cover shifts as required, step in to help during busy periods of arrivals and/or departures, train new hires to ensure their success, etc.
  • Assisting/teaching team managers scheduling, against guest and hours/occupied room goal.
  • Making sure that staffing levels are appropriate to exceed guest expectations by motivating and encouraging staff to solve guest and employee related concerns.
  • Ensuring that property hiring practices comply with I-9 and EEO requirements and strive for a culturally diverse work place.

Job Requirements

 Specific qualifications for the role include:

  • At least 2 years of experience in a hospitality guest service role and 1 year of experience in a supervisory role (Guest Service Manager, Assistant General Manager, Operations Manager or Front Office Manager, etc.).
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
  • Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
  • Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or team members of organization.
  • Previous Marriott brand experience highly preferable.
