Position Overview

We are seeking a highly skilled and reliable Maintenance Technician to join our team. This role is responsible for the general maintenance and upkeep of the hotel’s facilities, ensuring a safe, functional, and aesthetically pleasing environment for guests and staff alike. The ideal candidate is experienced in various trades, detail-oriented, and responsive to both routine and emergency maintenance needs.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct routine and preventative maintenance on hotel property, including guest rooms, public spaces, pool, and surrounding areas.

• Troubleshoot and repair issues involving HVAC, electrical, plumbing, carpentry, painting, and drywall.

• Use hand and power tools safely and effectively to complete daily work orders and tasks.

• Monitor and report on the condition of systems and recommend upgrades or repairs as needed.

• Respond to maintenance-related guest service requests in a timely and professional manner.

• Maintain accurate logs of completed work and materials used.

• Communicate regularly with the General Manager and Front Desk team to address ongoing or urgent needs.

• Ensure compliance with all safety standards and maintain updated Material Safety Data Sheets (MSDS).

• Support emergency response procedures and assist in ensuring the safety and security of all guests and team members.

Qualifications

• Minimum 3 years of hands-on maintenance experience, preferably in a hotel or hospitality setting.

• Strong knowledge of general building systems, including HVAC, plumbing, and electrical.

• Ability to read technical documents, blueprints, and equipment manuals.

• Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.

• Ability to lift heavy equipment/materials and perform physically demanding tasks including climbing and working in varied weather conditions.

• Strong interpersonal and communication skills.

• Valid Driver’s License preferred.

• Availability to work flexible shifts, including weekends or holidays, if required.
