Line Cook responsibilities-

  • Setting up and stocking stations with all necessary supplies
  • Preparing food for service (e.g. chopping vegetables, butchering meat, or preparing sauces)
  • Cooking menu items in cooperation with the rest of the kitchen staff
  • Ensuring the preparation station and the kitchen are set up and stocked
  • Reporting to the executive chef and following instructions
  • Making sure food preparation and storage areas meet health and safety standards
  • Cleaning prep areas and taking care of leftovers
  • Processing customer orders and producing meals
  • Applying basic and advanced cooking techniques
  • Cooking different levels of food depending on the kitchen
  • Possess a current Food Handler Certification
