Laundry Attendant

Essential Duties

• Sorting linens, towels and other laundry items by color, size and material.
• Washing items with commercial laundry equipment following proper sanitization protocols.
• Cleaning and maintaining laundry room area and equipment.
• Unloading laundry from commercial dryers.
• Stocking laundry supplies such as detergent, bleach, laundry bags and fabric softener.
• Creating laundry tags with identifiable information.
• Removing stains from items using the appropriate procedures.
• Performing minor sewing duties as needed.
• Ensuring that clean linens are supplied to the entire property.
• Maintaining all laundry equipment and informing facilities manager as to any maintenance needs.
• Other duties as assigned by supervisor.

Minimum Qualifications For The Laundry Attendant

• One-month related experience or training.

Other Qualifications

• Regular and reliable attendance.
• Must possess a great hospitality-oriented attitude.

• Able to work productively with little supervision.
• Able to follow verbal and written instructions.
• Able to stand and walk moderate distances throughout shifts. Bends, stoops, and reaches to perform routine job tasks. Routinely required to handle and move objects weighing up to 40 lbs.
