An incredible opportunity to work in the only AAA Four Diamond Hotel in the area! The Senior Sous Chef will oversee the production of food for all Outlets and special functions. This position will also be responsible for supervision and management responsibilities of culinary staff as assigned and assist Executive Sous Chef with ordering and procurement of food and scheduling of employees. The Senior Sous Chef will be directly responsible for ALL production and execution of food as assigned by Executive Sous Chef.
The Senior Sous Chef will also follow work direction and perform tasks efficiently, accurately, on a timely basis and
preserve the confidentiality and security of Guest information and belongings. This position will work as part of a team as well as work alone with limited direct supervision. The Senior Sous Chef will speak, read, write and understand the primary language(s) used in the workplace and communicate effectively and will engage in friendly, polite conversation and exercise good judgment and solve problems while maintaining emotional control and persevere in stressful situations. This position will also maintain a neat, clean and well-groomed appearance to standards.
Culinary degree required with a minimum of Associate’s degree. 4 years experience in relevant upscale hotel banquets operation and/or fine dining restaurant required. 2 years previous experience in leadership role required.
Culinary certification or education strongly preferred.
