Lane Community College Conference and Culinary Services is seeking an innovative, approachable, and effective Food Services Manager at Lane Community College. The selected candidate will be able to manage multiple priorities and project management responsibilities while supervising a dynamic staff of students and employees. In Campus Food Services, we work in conjunction with Specialized Support Services to provide employment training in the cafeteria and kitchen at the main campus. Student-Workers are trained with a focus on the cleaning and maintenance duties of a large-scale food service operation.

Food Services provides several dining options for students, faculty, staff, and visitors. The Lane Food Court, located on the first floor of the Center Building, features six restaurant outlets offering a wide variety of menu options for breakfast, lunch, and snacks. Many of the menu items are created using local and sustainable sources, sometimes from our own Lane Learning Garden! Professional/Technical culinary Training is required for this position.

Responsibilities

Responsible for providing leadership in sustainable financials, sustainable food production and service, exceptional value and culinary excellence, operational learning opportunities for CAHRTM students, creative and unique menus that embrace the diverse taste, nutrition, and health preferences of our customers. Provide exemplary customer service through inclusive and respectful communication, shared workload, commitment to the success of each individual. Use problem-solving skills to manage conflict, irate customers and daily issues in a manner that encourages return customer visits, open communication and provides flexible solutions

Required Qualifications

Associates degree Business, Food service Management, Culinary Arts, or Hospitality Management

and Four (4) years experience in the culinary/food service industry, one of these years must be at the administrative/management level.

OR

An accredited culinary degree/certificate with a total of five years food service leadership experience.

Starting Salary Range $46,800 - $61,800 (Management Salary Band 2b)
