With 917 guest rooms, 265,000 square feet of purpose-built conference space, situated on a 65 acre campus in Loudoun/Leesburg, VA., The National serves corporate training programs, 1,000-person conventions and Government conferences as well as major programs from SMERF and Association markets. Created for large conferences, corporate meetings and executive education, this multipurpose event venue was designed especially for meetings, learning and development. The National offers unique, individualized meeting communities where conference rooms and guest lodging are grouped in self-contained wings to optimize opportunities for collaboration and camaraderie. In addition, the National Challenge Course provides leadership development and team building programs using both high and low rope elements.
The experienced sales professional will manage a sales territory/market and have goals based on annual room nights and revenue targets as well as weekly sales activity goals aligned with business development.
You will be responsible for prospecting new business, handling rate negotiations, developing and maintaining client relationships and completing transaction through signed contract. The candidate will attend trade shows, conduct off- site sales calls and conduct property tours.
The ideal candidate will have recent experience and knowledge of corporate/association/government large scale volume-training requirements, i.e. housing, food & beverage, meeting space etc.
This position requires prior sales experience preferably in a conference, education center or a hotel with group experience. Candidates will be results focused while maintaining a team spirit and work effectively with operations to deliver great guest experiences.
Proven ability to develop and maintain client relationships in order to achieve sales goals and drive new business to property will be required.
The successful sales manager’s earnings potential include is well above industry standards with a generous base Salary, Quarterly/Annual Incentive and added incentive for exceeding revenue goals.
