Assists workers engaged in preparing foods for hotels, restaurants, or ready-to-serve packages by performing the following duties.
Reports To: Kitchen Manager
Washes, peels, cuts, and seeds vegetables and fruits.
Cleans, cuts, and grinds meats, poultry, and seafood.
Dips food items in crumbs, flour, and batter to bread them.
Check with lead supervisor for instructions on the days responsibilities.
Perform all assigned side work as instructed by supervisor.
Perform general cleaning tasks using standard cleaning products as assigned to adhere to health standards.
Perform any other duties and responsibilities as may be required.
Support and abide by the hotel safety program for guests and employees.
KNOWLEDGE AND SKILL REQUIRED
Must be able to speak and understand the primary Language used in the workplace.
Requires fingering, grasping, standing for long periods of time, walking, lifting, bending, stooping, kneeling, climb or balance, repetitive motions, verbal communications and visual acuity.
Able to lift and carry at least 40 pounds
Working at fast pace.
Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed instructions.
