Job Description : Responsible for management of Relish Restaurant, including directing, implementing and maintaining a best in class service philosophy to guide all restaurant staff.
Maintain complete knowledge of all products available in the restaurant including all particular characteristics of taste, preparation and presentation. Manage dining room layout, hours of operation and price range. Establish and maintain all department policies/service procedures.
Maintain complete knowledge and strictly abide by state liquor regulations, particularly those prohibiting service to minors, intoxicated persons and drunk driving.
Establish par levels for supplies/equipment and ensure they are maintained clean and organized.
Review sales and track revenue, collaborating with management and accounting as needed.
Regularly meet with chef to review menu and update staff.
Prepare weekly work schedules in accordance with staffing guidelines and labor forecasts. Adjust schedules throughout the week to meet the business demands.
Ensure that staff follow all policies/procedures. Document any discipline issues.
Conduct regular meetings with staff. Assign work and side duties to staff in accordance with departmental procedures. Coordinate breaks for staff. Monitor staff in all phases of service.
Anticipate guests’ needs and guide staff to be prepared to respond accordingly.
Monitor and handle guest concerns and complaints promptly and tactfully.
Utilize leadership skills and motivation techniques in order to maximize employee productivity and satisfaction of direct reports. Select, orient, and train qualified employees. Conduct effective employee meetings and counseling sessions. Determine, communicate, and monitor achievement of standards of performance on a timely basis.
Perform any other job related duties as assigned.
Must be 18 years or older. Must have the ability to communicate in English. Can communicate well with guests. Maintain a professional appearance and manner at all times.
Previously demonstrated successful restaurant leadership. We are seeking a candidate who can lead our team to success, by developing our associates and offering extensive industry expertise.
