Our client is a successful restaurant entrepreneur presently operating 10+ full serve restaurants in multiple states. They are ready to spearhead a new creative, fine dining, full service restaurant start-up division. The Director of Operations must have hands-on restaurant operations and corporate experience in opening new locations from the ground up.
Requirements for the Director of Operations position:
- Multi-unit experience operating fine dining or upscale restaurants in the $5-10 million / year + range
- 5 years in a recent role as restaurant Director of Operations, Regional Manager, Vice President, or COO
- Strong P&L expertise
- Proven ability to lead General Managers at multiple locations
- Excellent knowledge in corporate beverage training (craft cocktails / wine program / craft beers)
- Extensive experience opening new restaurants
- Hospitality Business or Business Administration Degree
- Proven track record of success in fine dining restaurants
- Solid knowledge of high-end, scratch culinary operations
- Flexibility to travel to and live in different cities for several months at a time
- Exceptional six figure salary, plus bonus and incentive program

The company is well financed and will open potential locations in high profile, prime locations in the US and internationally (including South Florida, NYC, LA, Austin, London, and Amsterdam to start). Chicago is slated be one of the first locations.
The position will involve being very hands-on and on site during openings. This position is ideal for a rising star restaurant Director of Operations / Regional Manager / COO who has the desire and drive to be an Equity Partner in a spectacular, one of a kind opportunity.
