Job overview

The Water Resort Supervisor serves as a liaison between the hourly and salaried staff of the Water Resort Operations Department to ensure the successful operation of the park and acts as a dependable resource for other staff members as well as management.

What you will be doing

  • Training and coaching the aquatics staff

    • Performing regular in-house audits

    • Being available as a resource for employees

    • Conducting park and attraction trainings

  • Monitoring and creating employee schedules
    • Insures proper staffing levels for the day

  • Serves as the Manager on Duty when on property

    • Oversees lifeguards, supervisors and dry operations employees

    • Spends majority of the day dealing with guest relations

    • The final authority on issues during park operation

  • Scheduling trainings and meetings

    • Monthly management meetings

    • Attending hotel meetings

  • Conducting interviews and hiring new employees

    • Scheduling times for interviews

    • Making sure that all new hire paperwork is completed

    • Scheduling times for potential employees to meet with Human Resources

  • Keeping all Ellis and Associates paperwork and policies up to date including:

    • Abiding by and enforcing all policies of the Comprehensive Aquatics Risk Management Program

    • Making sure that all staff on the clock have a current license

    • Preparing lifeguard classes

    • Teaching lifeguard classes

    • Teaching inservice training

    • Maintaining licenses in order and available for inspection

    • Performing zone validations quarterly

    • Keeping zone validation forms readily available for inspection

    • Ordering new supplies and equipment for trainings

    • Tracking inservices

    • Proactive management of lifeguards throughout the day

    • Tracking supervisor audit totals

  • Maintaining a safe, fun and clean environment for guests of the resort

    • Daily inspection of the park and attractions for any issues

    • Regularly checking water clarity

    • Insuring that all signage and guest communication devices are operational

    • Proactively managing facility to prevent injuries and catastrophes

    • Maintaining proper security

    • Proactive guest service

  • Perform other duties as assigned, requested or deemed necessary by the Water Resort Director.
