Silverado Resort and Spa is seeking qualified candidates for the position Tennis Attendant. The Tennis Attendant is responsible for providing overall operations support to the Tennis Department. Functions include but are not limited to the following:

  • Opens the Members’ Office at the specified time.
  • Sets court amenities up as designated by Tennis Pros
  • Greets guests and handles their requests to the highest level of guest service.
  • Responsible for correspondence, filing and written work.
  • Helps to maintain inventory of tennis/bike supplies.
  • Responds to all phone inquiries in a courteous and professional manner, responding to general inquiries related to tennis and/or bicycle rentals.
  • Keeps daily player (member/guest) sign up sheet up to date.
  • Assigns courts to players and writes up charge slips ensuring that every charge slip has a signature and a room number or member number. Files paid tickets in order.
  • Maintains member and resort scheduling books for court assignments.
  • Maintains a high standard of cleanliness of the members’ registration office.
  • Schedules tennis lessons for Assistant Pro in book.
  • Assists guests in renting bicycles. Assures that every guest signs a waiver and a charge slip before taking the bicycle. Assists guests with helmets, destination maps and bicycle locks. Locks all bikes at the end of the day.
  • Assists guest with ball machine and explains safety and use.
  • Responsible for the promotion of a safe and professional workplace through adhering to policies and procedures as outlined in Standard Operating Procedures
  • Ensures all tennis bookings or bicycle rentals  are booked correctly.
  • Participate in any required trainings and implement practices that are taught.
  • Resolve guest challenges, utilizing support from supervisors, managers, or MOD.
  • Closes registration office at end of day. Totals all charge slips and distributes copies per operating procedures.

  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
  • Previous customer service/hospitality/retail sales experience preferred.
  • Basic computer skills
  • Excellent interpersonal skills, effective communication, and time management.
  • Ability to work in a team environment with professional demeanor.
  • Ability to read and write English, to interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and procedure manuals.
  • Basic math skills with ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide.
  • Must be flexible regarding scheduling as it is based on business demands; nights, weekends, and holiday shifts required.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills, effective communication, and time management.
  • Must have employment eligibility in the U.S.

  • Requires grasping, writing, standing, sitting, walking, repetitive motions, listening and hearing ability and visual acuity.
  • Talking and hearing occur continuously in the process of communicating with guests, supervisors and subordinates.
  • Vision occurs continuously with the most common visual functions being those of near vision and depth perception.
  • Must have finger dexterity to be able to operate office equipment such as computers, printers, 10-key adding machine, multi-line touch tone phone, filing cabinets, FAX machines, photocopiers, dolly and other office equipment as needed.
