Temple Pizza Attendant

A Temple Pizza Attendant is a key component to the Colleague experience at the Chateau Lake Louise, offering a friendly face and warm food at the end of a long day working day. Temple Pizza operates 365 days a year primarily servicing the Staff of the Chateau Lake Louise. Temple Pizza has also become a local favorite for lunch and dinner.

Dine-in service is available within Stables Pub which boasts occupancy levels upwards of 280 guests, for drinks and dinner. Temple Pizza not only provides meals for patrons of Stables Pub but also has a full menu available for home delivery. Temple Pizza is more than a Take-out restaurant as it boasts a small Grocery store as well. Providing staff with a few of the essentials between trips to Banff, Canmore and Calgary, Temple Pizza is the place to be!

Hotel Overview: Nestled on the edge of Alberta’s Lake Louise in the majestic Canadian Rocky Mountains, The Fairmont Chateau Lake Louise is an all-season recreational paradise that has attracted guests from around the world since 1890. Only a two-hour drive west of Calgary, the property is enveloped by some of the most spectacular scenery on the planet. Facilities include 554 guest rooms, Health Club and Spa, five restaurants, a deli and a lounge. As well, we also have retail shopping, a business centre, horseback riding and canoeing in the Summer, and sleigh rides in the Winter.

Summary of Responsibilities:

Reporting to the Stables Pub Manager, responsibilities and essential job functions include but are not limited to the following:

* Perform Kitchen Duties including but not limited to; peeling and cutting of vegetables, preparing mise en place, pizza dough, working the line and cooking food orders.

* Adhere to standardized recipes and specifications in order to maintain consistency and ensure standards are met.

* Keep work stations clean and organized including fridges/freezers, countertops and stove top.

* Ensure that station opening and closing procedures are carried out to standard

* Keep overproduction and food waste to a minimum in order to reduce food cost expense

* Operation of all kitchen equipment, keeping safety in mind at all times

* Ensure that food production and handling, storage and preparation are in accordance with Hotel and Government Food Safety guidelines.

* Report any maintenance concerns with kitchen equipment to Temple Manager/Supervisor

* Report any quality of food product issues to Temple Manager/Supervisor

* Conduct inventory of product

* Maintain accurate cash float

* Take orders and serve guest in store or on delivery to staff residence

* Greet all guest in person or on phone in polite and friendly manner

* Effectively handle customer inquires/concerns and report any issues to Temple Manager/Supervisor

* Adhere to all environmental policies and incentive programs of the Chateau Lake Louise

* Assist in other areas of the Food and Beverage Department at the Chateau Lake Louise

Job Requirements

* 1 year Food preparation and culinary experience required

* Knowledge and experience with commonly used industrial kitchen equipment a strong asset

* Valid drivers license required

* Experience handling cash and use of Micros or other POS an asset

* Display high level of initiative and require minimal

Physical Aspects of Position (include but are not limited to):

* Constant standing and walking throughout shift
