Job Description

This position supervises the day to day operational human resource duties related to the Entertainment Complex Food & Beverage and Hersheypark Rides Department. The Entertainment Complex consists of HERSHEYPARK (including ZooAmerica), HERSHEYPARK Stadium, HERSHEYPARK Arena, GIANT Center and Hershey Theatre.  This position will be responsible for training and supervising interns and other part time team members, problem solving, administering attendance tracking documents, general administrative duties, and the application of progressive disciplinary procedure, up to and including termination of part-time and seasonal staff.


Job Functions:

  • Providing positive leadership, motivation, and supervision to interns and part time staff
  • Handling a high volume of in-coming and out-going phone calls as well as greeting and assisting employee walk-ins
  • Responding to written and verbal inquiries relating to events, schedules, policies, and procedures
  • Assisting with the interview and hiring process and scheduling of employees, which includes; employee requests, schedule creation, and schedule modifications for over 2000 seasonal employees
  • Counseling employees on their attendance records and applying progressive disciplinary procedures, up to and including termination
  • Acting as supervisor on duty and problem solving part-time staff scheduling and personnel concerns
  • Filing personal and confidential records, assisting with the completion of payroll and performing other job related duties related to the operational human resource functions of the Food & Beverage and Ride Operations departments

Job Requirements

Basic Qualifications:

  • Must be 18 years of age or older
  • Must possess a high school diploma or have comparative education (ie GED)
  • Minimum of two (2) years of supervisory related experience


Additional Qualifications:

  • Experience working in a professional office setting is preferred
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and have the ability to quickly learn computer based applications
  • Must have proven excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Must be innovative and be self-motivated to complete tasks
  • Must be detail orientated with proven organizational skills
  • Must have reliable, steady transportation to and from work
  • Must display a positive attitude, eagerness to learn, and professional image in compliance with Hershey Entertainment & Resorts guidelines
  • Must have the ability to safeguard confidential information
  • Must have the ability to work without a conflict of interest


Working Conditions:

  • Must be able to work flexible hours including days, evenings, nights, weekends (including both Saturday and Sunday), and holidays
  • Shift start times may be as early as 5:45AM and shift ending times may be as late as 1:00AM
  • Must be able to work a minimum of five (5) days and 40 hours per week during the main summer season (May through September); additional hours per week may be available during some weeks
  • Must be able to work a minimum of four (4) days and 30 hours per week during all other times of the year
  • A majority of the time will be spent working in an office environment (and on a computer); however, outside work in a variety of weather conditions may be required
  • Physical requirements include standing, sitting, walking and lifting a minimum of 20 pounds
