Position Description:

Atrium Hospitality is a fast growing, privately held hotel management company based in Alpharetta, GA. With this atmosphere comes the rare opportunity to work on very complex financial deals and projects that are vital to the company's success. This role will work with external auditors and partners as well as with a number of internal customers to drive the financial objectives of the organization. The ideal candidate will bring to this position relevant experience in the hotel/hospitality industry. They will directly and indirectly lead a team of approximately 20 - 25 associates. RESPONSIBILITIES: • Review financial reports and analyses on a GAAP and/or tax basis for various entities/investments managed by the company • Establish and maintain sustainable procedures for processing of financial information • Manage and direct accounting staff which is responsible for the processing of all financial information for the complete hotel/owner portfolio of investments • Manage the following accounting functions o Hotel Investment Accounting o Capital Expenditures Corporate Accounting o Tax Reporting • Review the work product and activities of independent auditors and organize various external audits to ensure on-going compliance. Duties include, but are not limited to the following; preparation and review of annual audited financial statements as required by the agreements the company has entered into • Ensure the company’s record-keeping practices and procedures meet the requirements of auditors and government agencies • Facilitate cross-company communication to share best practices and leverage organizational resources • Analyze partnership, loan, and lease agreements in order to document Atrium’s rights and responsibilities with regards to those agreements. Determine proper accounting methods for any new investments into which the company enters • Oversee the completion of month end processing for hotels owned by Atrium Hospitality’s parent, Atrium Holding Company. JOB SKILLS: • Strong and effective communication skills • Strong action orientation with the ability to manage conflicting priorities in a fast paced work environment • Strong computer skills with thorough knowledge of the following software required: o Sage300 o CCH ProSystem o FX Workpaper Manager o Microsoft Office products o Adobe Acrobat • Exposure to web based accounting software a plus REQUIREMENTS: • Certified Public Accountant with 10+ years of accounting experience • 5+ years of leadership experience demonstrating a proven track record to analyze vast amounts of data in a fast paced and complex work environment • Prior supervisory/management experience • Experience with GAAP (historical cost and fair value) basis reporting and conversion to income tax basis
