Job Description

To provide all spa guests with an enjoyable spa experience, through quality service in the most efficient manner, at all times.

Essential Functions:

  • Welcome all guests and fellow associates with a warm, sincere, prompt greeting
  • Maintain confidentiality of all proprietary and guest information
  • Arrive for work on time, properly dressed and ready to represent the Essex Spa with the utmostin professionalism
  • Warmly greet and assist guests with check-in, billing and check-out process
  • Receive incoming telephone calls promptly and politely, practicing proper phone etiquette
  • Promote and execute effective retail sales for each guest
  • Explain specific spa treatments and services and advise guests in choosing the best servicesfor them based on their needs and interests
  • Efficiently schedule spa services, clearly communicating facility offerings and explaining the cancellation policy with each guest
  • Accurately collect payment from each guest; maintain control of point-of-sale area and followestablished guidelines for payment/sale process
  • Possess a thorough sales knowledge of all spa services, rates and retail product costs
  • Conduct tours of the spa facilities for hotel and outside guests when requested by management
  • Attend all training and department meetings as directed by supervisors
  • Tour guests through the spa assisting them with special requests and provide hospitality services as needed (such as water, tea service, food orders, etc.)
  • Report equipment failures or maintenance issues promptly
  • Make daily confirmation calls to each guest
  • Ensure that the all guest areas are clean and organized throughout the day
  •  Maintain a thorough understanding of spa and resort programs and services and act as anambassador for the resort with each guest.
  • Alert Spa management to potential problems or concerns as they relate to guests or staff
  • Promote positive guest relations by providing prompt, courteous and efficient service andeffectively resolving complaints in a timely manner
  • Project a calm demeanor, even in the most stressful situations
