Description: This position is hourly and based on a 50 hour work week. The Sous Chef participates in directing & controlling the operation of the kitchen. Provides supervisory guidance & makes suggestions pertaining to associate matter such as hiring and training. Must be able to showcase skill in producing different types of cuisines. 

Job Requirements

Must have at least 2 years supervisory experience, large volume banquet kitchen experience,  bakery and pastry experience and be available any day of the week for shifts as necessary.  Must have a thorough understanding of composting, sustainability and buying local products.  Must also have understanding of HACCP.  Must have hospitality-focused qualities and a courteous demeanor.  Valid Food Handler’s Card required before start of employment. Must actively support the hotel’s environmentally responsible business practices and embrace our Declaration of Excellence.
