Job Summary:

  • Create a warm and friendly atmosphere by providing fast, friendly and courteous service to customers.
  • Responsible for the beverage service and collection of payment from all customers.
  • Work in an assigned area such as lobby, pool or lounge and take orders from guests. 
  • Present drink orders to bartender and properly write the check while waiting for the drinks to be prepared. Assist in the preparation of drink orders as required.
  • Pick up empty glasses and return them to the proper assigned area. Clean or replace dirty ashtrays.
  • Perform assigned side work such as stocking coffee, glasses, sugar, cream, beverage napkins, etc. as required.
  • Serve alcoholic beverages within the guidelines established by the department and state law. Monitor guests' consumption of alcoholic beverages and intervene as necessary by following CARE guidelines. 
  •       Pre-bus
    all tables removing soiled dishes after each course.
  • Be
    familiar with the operation of the P.O.S system.

  • High School diploma or equivalent.
  • Six months experience of customer service. 
  • Knowledge of math to figure cost, make change and cash handling procedures.
  • Knowledge of the state and federal laws concerning the handling and dispensing of food and alcoholic beverages.
  • Capable of demonstrating good judgment when dealing with guests and staff members. 
  • Good communication skills and the ability to work independently as well as with other team members and departments.
  • Able to work unsupervised for extensive periods, and to demonstrate good judgment when dealing with guests and staff members.
