We are currently seeking a Senior Vice President of Real Estate Investments who has the expertise to build and maintain relationships on both the lender and investor side. Reporting directly to the Chief Investment Officer and overseeing the acquisition and business development functions, this role will be an instrumental part of shaping the future growth of Sage Hospitality. We are looking for someone who has experience in identifying top markets and generating new deals and management agreements. The successful candidate must have at least 10 years of real estate investment experience and the ability to travel.

The position will be based at the Home Office in Denver and will travel as needed.

This role will focus on the growth of Sage’s VAP and LAP real estate investments.

Build and maintain investor relationships across both VAP and LAP platforms

Build and maintain lender relationships that can apply to both investment platforms

Generate deal flow (preferably off market) through various relationships: brokers, owners, lenders, brands

With Acquisition & Development Principals, generate loan term sheets

Interface with CIO to generate investment strategy

Identify markets for future investments

Oversee negotiation of JV, franchise, and management agreements

Generate investment recommendations for Sage Investment Committee approval

Maintain strong relationships with top tier brands

Extensive knowledge of top 25 markets

Ability to carry an owner’s perspective through a project from start to finish

10 + years of real estate investment experience via public or private REIT, private equity, or other ownership vehicle

Extensive underwriting, feasibility, and due diligence experience

Experience with refinancing, disposition, and other major investment decisions
