We are seeking a Senior Tax Analyst to join our team in Chicago, IL. As a Senior Tax Analyst, you

will be an integral part of the Sales Tax Function at ELS including sales tax compliance, audits and

research. This position will assist in the coordination and review of our sales tax compliance function

as well as improve our sales tax procedures. Additionally, this position will assist with all sales tax

audits, respond to sales tax notices and complete research projects.

Job Duties include:

* Assist with the review and preparation of the monthly sales tax compliance functions.

* Assist with the documentation and implementation of improved sales tax policies and procedures.

* Assist the Tax Director with sales tax audits from state, county and city taxing authorities.

* Possesses advanced excel skills including pivot tables and vlook-ups.

* Research and document sales tax issues and questions as they arise. This includes in-house research projects and the coordination of research completed by third parties.

* Work with the property accounting department to educate and improve the flow of information between the two departments, especially as it relates to tax collected and tax owed.

* Analyze the information flow and use of technology as it relates to our current sales tax systems and implement improvements to save time and increase accuracy.

* Interact with our 350-plus locations to address sales tax problems, procedures, rates andother sales tax related issues.

* Monitor, research, and answer sales tax notices to ensure their prompt resolution.

Requirements include:

* Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or related field. Master’s degree and CPA preferred.

* 3 or more years experience working with sales tax compliance and audits.

* Excellent Excel and technology skills.

* Excellent communication skills.
