Maingate Lakeside Resort is a 475 room resort just 2 Miles from the entrance to Disney.  The property has 3 beautiful pools, a mini golf area, basketball court, and numerous other amenities to offer our guests.  We are a family friendly resort that offers two banquet areas.  Our staff works as a cohesive team and our team is filled with the stars that make our guests days shine bright.

The Senior Sales Manager is responsible for the development and fostering of business through pro-active selling, marketing, telemarketing and direct sales of the hotel. This specific position is designed to maintain relations with current accounts while finding new business within Banquets & Catering, Tour and Travel, Leisure Discount, SMERF and Wholesale Group segments.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Determine, develop and execute action plans against existing and new target accounts to achieve and exceed sales revenue expectations.
  • Develop and maintain ongoing relationships with customers, community organizations and professional associations to maintain visibility and market share. Continually targets and prospects new business through individual creativity and innovation.
  • Create and Implement sales strategies to maximize profits of the hotel while maintaining customer satisfaction.
  • Analyze competition, market trends and customer needs to continually assess the productivity against established goals.
  • Strategically evaluate and determine the revenue potential of clients compared to the established goals of the hotel to ensure profitability. Develop a sales strategy by analyzing historical, current and future hotel/market trends to capture the maximum amount of revenue and meet/exceed his/her individual sales goals.
  • Maximize revenue by selling all facets of the hotel.
  • Manage account details so all pertinent aspect of solicitation and closing are complete and documented.
  • As the primary contact for customers, notify/coordinate customer specifications with other departments and quickly, efficiently respond to customer issues, comments and problems to ensure a quality experience and enhance future sales prospects.
  • Plan and execute sales trips, sales calls, and site visits. Travel locally to conduct outside calls, promote the hotel and review competition reader boards to develop leads. Also, travel to attend trade shows, conferences and industry meetings.

 

Job Requirements

Required Skills and Requisites

Excellent communication skills. Ability to convey information and ideas through a variety of media; engaging the audience and helping them understand and retain the message. Skilled at establishing effective relationships with marketing and internal partners; promoting openness, trust and confidence in one's intentions. Requires effective reading, writing and oral comprehension.

Driven public relations and marketing acumen. Energetic, proactive, accurate and perseveres to attain goals. Posses an extensive knowledge of public relations, marketing, revenue management and promotion analysis capabilities with a demonstrated ability to apply these principles and methods through strategy and tactics.

Partnership management capabilities with fiduciary responsibilities - Knowledge of business and management principles involved in strategic planning, resource allocation, leadership technique, production methods, and coordination of partners and resources.

Leadership qualities. Skilled at building a cohesive (buy in) and facilitating goal accomplishment by aligning individual and public relations & marketing actions with strategies and plans to drive business results. Requires the ability to inspire confidence and gain respect of hotel team, industry partners, competitors, and owners.

Service orientation. Knowledge of principles and processes for providing customer and personal services. This includes customer needs assessment, meeting quality standards for services, and evaluation of customer satisfaction.

Applied business knowledge including bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Hotel and Restaurant Management, or related major plus three or more years experience in hotel marketing.
