A rare opportunity for a seasoned Senior Sales Manager to join a luxury, award-winning hotel in downtown Atlanta.   

Position Focus:

  • Sell to planners of group blocks, meetings, catering, and corporate transient business.

  • A true self-starter who loves to prospect, make personal sales calls, build relationships, and close business.

  • Increase guest room sales through aggressive sales efforts, discretion and judgment.

  • This position affects business operations and profitability.Has discretionary ability to quote rates, meeting room inventory and commit operational hotel departments to the success of the client.



  • Sells meetings/catering group with overnight guest rooms, group room blocks that have no meeting or catering, catering only business and increase the production of corporate negotiated transient guest rooms, upsell menus and upgraded room types, packages, meeting promotions and restaurant promotions. Maximizes hotel revenue through negotiations with customer.

  • Solicits business, in an assigned territory, through prospecting, in-person sales calls, phone calls, emails, client site visits and entertaining clients for breakfast, lunch and dinner. Qualifies the prospect’s needs, asks all necessary questions, and sells the hotel’s offerings, to meet those needs. Close business and gain repeat bookings, referrals and reservations through relationship building.

  • Participates in completion of all of the appropriate forms and tools used for in-house communication. Follow up with the proper departments to ensure what has been committed to the client is delivered.

  • Coordinates agreed-upon food and beverage requirements to the Catering department to execute.

  • Participates in sales blitzes, sales trips and tradeshows.

  • Achieve hotel’s room and catering revenue budgets and achieve Group, Catering and Corp Transient booking goals, as well as prospecting, in-person sales calls and site visit, and entertainment activity goals monthly.

  • Additional duties which you may be asked to perform.

  • Adheres to all sales department and hotel policies and procedures.



  • Demonstrate excellent sales skills by verbally talking and listening to clients.

  • Prepare plans/BEOs for functions by writing clear requests to each effected department.

  • Have a basic knowledge of local and national trends regarding business and competition strategies.

  • Have the ability to talk with different types of people to give information, answer questions and provide service required.

  • Travel to local and national areas to attend functions/tradeshows which may involve being away from home for several days at a time.

  • Ideally, good working knowledge of Delphi, Opera, Travel Click products, and Microsoft Office products.

    Salary Range is:  $50,000.00-$55,000.00 (Based on experience)
