A Senior Accounting Clerk is responsible for supervising the function of computerized accounting systems, month-end closing reports and General Ledger reconciliation in the hotel's continuing effort to deliver outstanding guest service and financial profitability.
What will I be doing?

As a Senior Accounting Clerk, you would be responsible for assisting the Director of Finance in the supervision of the department clerical staff to deliver an excellent guest experience and financial profitability. Specifically, you would be responsible for performing the following tasks to the highest standards:

* Involvement in reconciliation and month end closing process.
* Works with Assistant Director of Finance and assists in the supervision of Hotel Finance Office staff, assigning tasks and giving guidance, monitoring accuracy.
* Create House accounts and Group Master. Ensure proper billing methods is established. Apply deposits to Group and House Accounts and Guest Reservations.
* Collect on delinquent accounts. Maintain files and detailed call reports for collection activity.
* Process all credit applications for direct billings. Maintain and update credit log.
* Establish and enforce credit policies and procedures to increase sales and keep debts at a minimum. Conduct monthly credit meetings.
* Handle monthly write-off and return checks. Handle chargebacks and inquiries timely. Refer accounts to outside collection activity.
